8. Apple.

For this brand, we do not need any introduction. Apple Inc. is an American multinational tech brand that has been always on the recommended list no matter what list you read because it has done some serious innovation and research on their laptops that makes users buy their products no matter how costly they are. Apple knows, how to innovate and change the game in the market, that’s why it stands foremost among them all. Their research and development are remarkable and ahead of its time. They have essentially revolutionized many an industry with their products. Apple laptops are renowned for their build class and come with ease of using features. 14. Huawei.

Huawei is a Chinese multinational technology company that is a quite new contender in the industry of the laptop market. Even though they started late in 2018 in the laptop market, the brand has attracted a significant amount of users’ attention, especially in China.

Since the tech support for this brand is very limited outside China and doesn’t exist at all, which led the Huawei brand to debut, and we do not recommend it unless you live in China.

MateBook X Pro is an awesome laptop by value; it also won our heart in looks. But we suspect some fishy stuff too. Companies who care about their privacy avoid Chinese software and hardware. Many countries including America put a ban on Huawei for many malpractices like leaking sensitive data.

Huawei is also famous for 5G critics worldwide, many news sources say it could lead to a national security risk because its equipment can be used for spying by the Chinese government. However, Huawei has repeatedly denied those allegations. We’re leaving the decision to you.

Comments and feedback

  1. Here in the Philippines the dominant brands are Acer, Asus and Lenovo laptops. Can you suggest sir, what models are best suitable for me if I want a laptop that can provide a good gaming experience in the range of $400-600? Thank you.

    • I would recommend then Acer Aspire E5, Asus F556UA and Lenovo ThinkPad 13. Pick any one whichever you like most.

  2. Hello Atul, is it good to buy a used laptop on eBay or any online website? I want to buy a used laptop machine with decent specs. What is your take in that? Please explain to me 2nd hand laptop vs certified refurbished laptop machines, which one should I buy?

    • It depends upon many scenarios.

2nd Hand and Certified Refurbished both are different things. You cannot be sure about 2nd hand machines but certified refurbished machines can be trusted as they have a warranty period to cover any faults.

We all know what is the second-hand product is, it is a machine which is used by its previous owner, and now you are planning to buy it.

Certified Refurbished is just a new machine that has been returned to the original manufacturer, licensed vendor, or supplier for any valid reason (like damaged, fail to work, or similar things) so that it can be fixed, and sold again on the market. Since the company tested it for all the defects and fixed it, the sellers call it a certified refurbished machine.

Keep in mind to check for return policy and warranty period while purchasing used products. At the day end, it is your hard-earned money.

  3. Super list Atul! ASUS is awesome bro, as I have owned ’em in the past. Now I love my Acer Chromebook. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Very well researched review on best laptop brands. Thumbs up for you.

As of now I am using Dell XPS 13 and I can say that it is one of the best laptop which I have tried and tested yet, just webcam placement is little weird.

Apple is slightly backed by their butterfly keys issues which they are not accepting as a total failure. I can say that because I used Apple’s MacBook Pro 13 Touch Bar edition and their keys just failed to register my key press most of the time.

  5. Each laptop brand has its own plus and minus side. Unless we have very specific requirements choosing a best laptop brand is difficult.

Your list of of best laptop brands is trustworthy as your work is visible after reading such a nice review. You have gone through some serious work there Atul, keep it up.

  6. Well you have written such a nice review on the best laptop brands, I would like to add my opinion here as well.

The choice of best laptop brands also depends on your needs.

Let’s say if you require the laptop for gaming then MSI, Razer Blade, and Asus are the best brands to go with. But if you need the laptop just for surfing the net, watching movies or playing light games on it then you can’t go wrong with the laptops from Dell, HP, and Lenovo as they are equally better. We can’t be very specific that this particular brand is better than the other one.

  7. Hi, Atul. Thanks for the well-researched article! I got to know lots of new facts about the most known and truly speaking some unknown laptop brands too.

I completely agree with you about the HP brand. HP is the most versatile and robust laptops and other tech gadgets manufacturers, which has dominated the market. HP brand is around us for many years. Even when we talk about printers, this brand name comes instantly in my mind. Cheers!

  8. I was looking for non chinese laptop brands, fortunately, I came to know some brands, although I see those brands too says made in china. I need your suggestion. Thanks.

    • Brands like Apple, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Razer, etc are American brands or we can say non-Chinese brands. But the fact is even those brands have some chunks, devices, peripherals, parts in laptops which are made in China or assembled in China. In the coming years, we’ll see some non-Chinese laptops because many companies are leaving China due to increasing frauds, tax evasion, sudden increase in labor costs, and of course the intentional mishandling of COVID-19.
